3/8" Galvanized Cable Zip Line Cable 3/8" cable is the standard for challenge ropes course and zip line construction. 1/4" or 5/16" may be appropriate for certain applications. 1/2" is recommended for zip lines 500'-1000'. All zip line cables should be hung with a minimum 5% sag!
