Lobster Claws with Zorber: Ropes Course Lobster Claws Static Belay Tethers

These lobster Claws are a unique, non-adjustable set of positioning / safety lanyards designed specifically for program high ropes courses.  Using the claws, the participant can move from element to element on the high ropes course while remaining securely connected at all times to at least one point of contact.  Fixed length lobster claws will work best on high ropes courses with consistant distance between foot cables and belay cables (<7').

Each "claw" is 42" in length.  At the ends of each claw is an industrial-rated, double-action snap hook or sewn reinforced loop for accepting locking carabiners.  It must require 2 seperate motions to open the gate to disengage it from a connection in order to maintain safety.

Snap hooks are recommended as they are easier for small hands, more ergonomically friendly and are permanently attached to the lobster claws. Zorbers MUST be used if any protection anchor points being used are static (bolts, bolt hangers, staples, steel rods or beams) Zorbers may be ommitted if all anchor points used are dynamic in nature (cable, rope, spring loaded anchors).
