CMC ProTech Pulleys UL Classified to NFPA 1983 The choice for anyone that needs a super light, high strength pulley such as for mountain rescue, ski patrol, tower work, and swiftwater rescue. By machining the sideplates, the thiickness of the metal can be varied to maximize the "strength to weight" ratio, a process that cannot be done with the traditional bent metal sideplates. The unique axle assembly allows a smooth sideplate that will not catch on the surface or other hardware. The aluminum sheave is mounted on sealed ball bearings. Benefits • Reduces the weight of a rescuer’s gear without compromising strength • Highly corrosion resistant • Snag-free side plate and hardware design Features • Machined side plates provide high strength to weight ratio • Extremely compact design • Ball bearing for high efficiency • Minds Prusik hitches • Aluminum side plates have smooth edges NFPA 1983 Pulley Performance Requirements - Light Use • Minimum 3 sigma breaking strength (3σ MBS) of not less than 22 kN (4,946 lbf). Item # 300501 Sheave Size 1 x 7/16 in. (25 x 11 mm) Type Single Color Sand/Silver or Black NFPA Designation Light-Use 3σ MBS* 6,609 lbf. (29.4 kN) Weight 3.3 oz. (94 g)
