Aluminum non-locking carabiners provide a variety of utility functions such as racking equipment or and the "keeper" carabiner on a load-release hitch. These carabiners are great for Robertson Full Body Harnesses, hanging gear and clipping tools. The oval design places equal amounts of force on the spine and gate allowing the carabiner to maintain full strength.  CMC quality assures smooth operation and long carabiner life.

Ovals are also used in critical climbing or rescue applications where a stuck gate must be avoided, and then are always used as pairs, rigged opposite and opposed.
